Melissa has been appointed to co-chair the American Bar Association International Law Section’s International Family Law Committee for the 2021-2022 ABA year. The ABA ILS is a leader in the development of international law and education of international law practitioners. Melissa previously co-chaired this committee from 2007-2009. While in her prior tenure, she grew the committee while organizing two highly successful international family law conferences and two advanced international family mediation trainings. She also represented the ABA ILS on the U.S. Delegation to the 6th Special Commission Meeting, held in The Hague, to explore the practical operation of the Hague Child Abduction and Hague Child Protection Conventions. Melissa will be serving her term alongside Michael Coffee.
